Rocky's weekend adventures!

We read some "Snowy Day" stories...the girls are always giving me cuddles....I'm a lucky Gray Wolf.

Then we went sledding!!! I landed a jump a couple of times. It kind of hurt my backside so I had to do some stretches later on in the day.

We made snow Angels.....I loved the sun beating down on my cheeks. They are getting rosey with all the outside, fresh air I've been getting!

It was a beautiful, sunny Saturday afternoon. I then got to join in on family game night....

I tied my luck at Rummy, but as usual the alpha Bradley took the win. I do respect his leadership in this pack but the guy should let his visitors win once in a while- don't you think?!?

Palm Sunday was a family day and I got to join in on the family palm branch craft. Cora and Chloe traced my paw and added it to their family Palm leaves.

Check out the flipgrid response we posted on the Palm Sunday grid. We had lots of fun role playing this special day.

I did my share and helped out the pack by organizing all the supplies for our Palm Sunday craft.

I miss you all so much!!
I hope you all have a happy week!!
Xoxo

SPARK at home!

"Interesting fact: Trees grow stronger as a result of bending in the wind. Right now, as we all bend to the wind in this trying time, may we all emerge stronger too, with deep, connected roots." (SPARK Science Center Blog)

SPARK Science center started up a blog today, check it out at the link below. Watch for updates to the blog as they post loads of fun and interactive experiments, virtual tours and learning sessions!

What has Rocky been up to lately?

Rocky has been a great guest in our home the last couple weeks!!

Things haven't been normal around here, that's for sure! With the girls home full time and me trying to work from home, life suddenly has gotten all topsy turvy- I am sure it is the same for a lot of you in your home, but we are all doing what we need to do to stay safe.

I am VERY proud of all of you and want you to know that I think about you every day. I can't believe how hard you have all been working on Google Classroom.

I am hoping that soon we can have some small group gatherings through Google Zoom. We have tried some Google Hangouts, which has been fun to see your faces and hear your voices with BUT Zoom is a little bit better. I will have to send a link for us to join this type of session so I need you to practice opening up some assignments a little bit more and following links through that. Once everyone has done that at least once then we can try out Zoom.

If you have any questions about any of the assignments please email me at xena.biffert@learn.cssd.ab.ca
I will do my best to get back to you ASAP. Remember, school hours are 9am ish to 3pm ish. So, if you contact me outside of those times you might have to wait until the next day to get your answer.

Now....for some pics of Rocky....

Rocky reading Indigenous stories...stay tuned- he wants to share one with you all!!

Rocky playing Monopoly with the family on our weekend game night...he was the CHAMP!

Rocky ALWAYS reminding us to be Earth Guardians!! Here he shut off the tap for me, while I brushed my teeth.

Rocky learning with the girls all about snowflakes!

Rocky keeping up on his sketching....he has been practicing about 10 minutes each morning. He is getting better every day. We sure hope you are still sketching each day.

Today he helped the girls decorate the from window for Easter. He wrote some very nice Easter poetry. See below for one of his poems...

Easter Poetry;
Flowers are coming!
I can't wait!

A Google Hangout with some friends from Grade 3!

Thanks for being so BRAVE, and KIND, and for working so hard at home!!
XOXOXO
